Looking for a private villa that’s genuinely comfortable for everyone in the group? 318 Canggu 3 bedroom villa strikes the right balance between shared time and personal space. Start the day drifting between the terraces and the pool, keep things active if the mood hits, then come back together in the pool club lounge for sunset drinks and easy chats. As evening rolls in, the air-conditioned media lounge sets the scene for music, downtime and relaxed hangouts. Whether the group’s energy is high or you’re taking it slow, this villa keeps everyone entertained without missing a beat!
Space and comfort are obvious from the moment you step inside. This villa is built to move with the day, offering plenty of spots to gather, drift off, or switch things up as the mood changes. Outside, a private 9 × 4 metre pool sits alongside a relaxed pool club lounge and two separate terraces, making it easy to shift from sun time to social time. Inside, the air-conditioned media and dining lounge is a cool escape with a smart TV and Netflix, while the fully equipped kitchen handles everything from quick breakfasts to long, shared dinners.
Sleeping arrangements are just as generous. The villa features three spacious bedroom suites, each designed more like a private studio than a standard room. The neighbourhood:
Where to eat:
Welcome to Canggu, Bali’s new pretender to the culinary throne! With fabulous new cafes and restaurants popping up weekly, it can be hard to know how to sort the best from the rest but fear not, we are here to give you our top suggestions:
Zin café: Literally next door to the villa (only 20 metres away), this is an open space café that boasts of being the only free co-working space in Bali. The menu has a bit of everything from local dishes e.g. nasi goreng (fried rice), to curries to pizzas and burgers to healthy poke bowls and to yummy sweets.
Warung Tiga: You have to try this place. It is the expats’ favorite – a higher-end warung (warung is local buffet style restaurant) – that is still affordable but has a nicer environment than a typical warung. There is a huge buffet selection and there are a la carte options. It is open from brunch to dinner and its local dishes are to die for. But there are also plenty of Western and healthy options.
Lacalita: The place to go for Mexican food. It becomes quite crowded especially due to its happy hour offers that combine margaritas and tacos amongst other options.
Billy Ho: is an Asian Boteco offering a mix of Japanese and Korean food. It also makes one of a kind cocktails.
Where to Spa:
Amo spa: is a must visit. It offers everything you could ask for in a NYC style day spa, but its crowning glory is its sauna area with steam rooms, rock sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, ice plunge pools, ice barrels, Epsom salt baths and swimming pool, all in a beautiful al fresco space so you can hop around from one to the other, pausing at the relaxation area as you please.
Spring spa: is a fun destination spa whether you’re after a quick beauty touch up or a full mind and rejuvenation package. Architecturally designed interiors, cold coconuts and an extensive treatment menu – not to mention the rumours of celebs – make this a great choice.
Gold Dust: Canggu’s king of bling, Gold Dust is an excellent one stop shop for all the pampering you could wish for, from hair to nails to feet – plus full body treatments, of course. Don’t miss their piece de resistance, the 24K Gold Facial, an anti ageing skin rejuvenating treatment with real gold that’s the darling of Instagram.
Therapy: If you want to keep it simple, calm and relaxed, Therapy is the place for you. You’ve got everything here: scrubs, cream baths, reflexology, massage, wraps, mani-pedis, waxing, facials, hair. And it’s all with that little bit of added luxury thanks to Therapy’s own line of spa products using organic, natural ingredients sourced from around the world, with no products ever tested on animals. Try their Ultimate Euphoria signature massage to ease muscle tension, relax and detoxify – it’s worth it!
Where to yoga:
Samadi: offers a wide range of classes and has some of the best teachers in Bali. It also has workshops that teach balance, strength, and flexibility through different yoga styles. Nirvana has daily yoga classes and flexibility classes like middle or side split class, hip, knees, and shoulder mobility, and handstand class. This is a perfect place to combine physical exercises with yoga and mental health practices.
The Practice: This is truly high quality teaching in a peaceful, serene environment – it’s set in an open air bamboo structure with views over the rice fields – with a focus on taking the learnings of traditional yoga and incorporating them into daily life. Teachers are experienced and offer daily asanas and meditations, Hatha and Yin yoga classes (including classes for beginners), workshops, sound healing, master classes, a monthly women’s circle and teacher training programmes.
Pranava Yoga: What we love about Pranava Yoga is the gorgeous setting – just being here makes you feel relaxed. Surrounded by rice fields, this yoga studio has classes for all levels, with a real variety of class types: there’s energetic Hatha, invigorating Vinyasa Power, focused, soothing Creative Power and fun Aerial Yoga. The teachers here are proactive and involved and will adjust your posture and advise you depending on your abilities.
Where to train:
The gyms in Canggu are endless, however we cannot but start with one of the most known and expensive gyms – namely the Body Factory – that happens to be in very close proximity to the villa. If you’re after a high intensity workout, it delivers: excellent gym equipment (and air conditioning, thank you Body Factory), weights (including women-only sessions), outdoor functional training, and a diverse range of classes. And it’s not just hard work – Body Factory also offers the most luxe recovery sessions, with a spa, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and ice baths – and it also does great shakes and food.
Avenue Fitness: is up there among the most popular gyms around. It’s equipped with a well-stocked gym training area (free weights, machines, treadmills), an open functional training area, specialised boxing and stretching facilities, and an excellent range of classes, including cardio, boxing and yoga, catering effectively to all levels. That’s not all though – it boasts an excellent recovery area with two ice bath plunge pools, a warm jacuzzi and a Finnish sauna, not to forget the onsite juice bar. While it’s at the more expensive end of the market, it’s also significantly less expensive than the Body Factory.
Bull Gym: Not everyone wants to pay top dollar for gym luxe, some of us just want to get down and sweaty with a good, hard workout. Enter Bull. This back-to-basics gym has a very impressive range of equipment, including dumbbells, barbells, bench, squat racks and machines, set in a huge space so you can get on with your workout without feeling crowded. There’s also a large open space for functional work, and a decent range of HITT classes if that’s your bag.
Nirvana Fitness: is something special. More than just a gym, it’s a whole life approach, centring on gymnastic strength training and power yoga, stretching, mobility and joint rehabilitation. Classes – there are more than 80 available every week – cover it all: Tai Chi, yoga, hip and shoulder mobility, pilates, handstands, 90 degree pushups, you name it. Nirvana will work with you to improve your performance no matter whether you’re a yogi or a surfer, a footballer or a dancer. There’s a recovery centre too, with ice baths, sauna, steam room and hot tubs, and a café and restaurant. And to top it off, all of this comes with the most fabulous views over rice terraces.
Where to surf:
When it comes to surfing, you are definitely at the right place. Canggu offers multiple breaks including Batu Bolong and Old Man’s for beginners and long boarders, Berawa for intermediate surfers and the more advanced breaks of Canggu – Echo Beach, Sand Bar, Rivermouth and Perenan. All breaks are semi-reef breaks apart from Sand Bar that is a beach break. No worries, there is no need for booties.
Where to party:
Beach club mania: Finns Beach Club, Atlas Beach Fest and the Lawn:
First of all, Finns Beach Club. This place is huge, and a little bit crazy. It has everything – four pools, and goodness knows how many restaurants, plus nine bars and a whole host of resident DJs and live vocalists.
Arrive for sunset cocktails and stay as the live acts kick off the party. And entrance is free! If you happen to be in Bali for NYE, this should definitely be an option you look into, Finn’s NYE parties are legendary round these parts.
Continuing on the beach club theme, we’ve also got Atlas, officially the biggest beach club in the world, as well as the longest beach bar in Asia. It’s not just got restaurants, bars and a giant swimming pool. It’s got department stores and even an enormous artificial waterfall.
Get here for sunset cocktails and stay for the mind blowing entertainment. Give their Resurgence night a go on Thursdays. It’s mostly international acts spinning melodic techno. But the beach club itself is also hot on entertainment – we’ve got top notch DJs here too as well as traditional kecak fire performances, Balinese dancers, magicians, you name it.
If you prefer a more laidback, smaller scale beach club that still really knows how to party, you have to try The Lawn. It does what it says on the tin, with a huge expanse of lawn right by Batu Bolong beach. There’s an infinity pool and some superb cocktails. Try Friday nights for disco, house, RnB and hip hop tunes and better still, half price on selected drinks from 9pm to 1am. Check their website for details of live events, DJs and live music.
Old Time Classics: Old Man’s and Deus
Old Man’s is perfectly located right by Batu Bolong Beach, and everyone knows it as the perfect place to chill with a sunset Bintang after a day’s surfing.
But what you might not know is that it also powers on well into the night. Yes, open every day till 1am, Old Man’s is a great destination for late night parties and even live concerts. Check out Dirty Ol’ Wednesdays, and also keep an eye on which DJ is playing on a Saturday night.
Another stalwart of the Canggu night life scene is hard rocking Deus Cafe. They might call it a café but it’s so much more than that. It’s a gallery space, a surf shop, a storage space for old skool bikes. It’s also the Temple Of Enthusiasm bar and stage, host to legendary live music sessions on Sundays, and also home to Tuesdays Tacos and Tattoos – a little Mexican, a little ink.
Microbrews till late: Black Sand Brewery
Then there’s hip newcomer, Black Sand Brewery. If your tastes in beer extend beyond the old Bintang, give this brewery a spin for its great range of craft beers, brewed on site. It has an extensive beer garden to house its ever-growing crowd but however popular, it manages to retain a chill vibe. Fridays are the best night – get there early, grab a bite to eat, and stay until the early hours.
Getting around:
We can provide a 14seater Hiace mini bus with driver for $85 USD = 1.200.000 IDR for 8 hours or $55 US = 800.000 IDR for 5 hours. Alternatively, the staff can help rent a motorbike. Prices range from $5.5 USD = 80.000 IDR for a standard Vario to $18 US = 250.000 IDR for the more premium Nmax.
